I love wearing wigs on camera for the "perfect hair" look on camera without having to think about heat damage on my hair... Especially DAILY heat? No thanks! I got this lace front synthetic wig from my local beauty supply on sale for $39 regularly $50. Freetress Equal Mariah 4/27 Wig
This wig was great the first few days but then the back of the wig got matted... I put a little heat on it and it was ok but still not straight with the "bumped" look it had at first. Then I washed & conditioned it and let it air dry and it seemed to respond well to that.

But when I put it on her hair it seems very light which is good buttttt it doesn't make her curls "pop"
When would you use this?
I'd say this would be good for curls created with heat or type 3 hair but not type 4 unless you use heat.
What is oil pulling?
“Oil pulling is an age-old remedy that uses natural substances to clean and detoxify teeth and gums. It has the added effect of whitening teeth naturally and evidence even shows that it is beneficial in improving gums and removing harmful bacteria!
The basic idea is that oil is swished in the mouth for a short time each day and that this action helps improve oral health. Just as with Oil Cleansing for the skin, the principle of “like dissolves like” applies, as oil is able to cut through plaque and remove toxins without disturbing the teeth or gums.”
You swish the oil around. Your mouth before brushing for ten to twenty minutes each morning.
Apparently the timing is key, according to Dr. Bruce Fife, author of Oil Pulling Therapy, as this is long enough to break through plaque and bacteria but not long enough that the body starts re-absorbing the toxins and bacteria. The oil will get thicker and milky as it mixed with saliva during this time and it should be creamy-white when spit out.
Benefits Of Oil Pulling
Type of Oil?
Traditional cultures use sesame or sunflower oil for oil pulling but I decided to use coconut oil for several reasons. One being that I already have it in my kitchen and my bathroom(for hair and skin) so why not?
"Coconut oil is effective in attacking Streptococcus Mutans bacteria which causes cavities. It is rich in medium chain triglycerides and high in lauric acid."
Don't swallow the oil!
You'll be swallowing all the toxins you want to get rid of!
spit the oil in your trash, you don't want too much oil in your drains or clogging up our septic system.
My first week reporting at my new station I decided to wear my straight hair with a few clip ins but I wanted VOLUME! Here is the final result! LOVED IT!
These rollers were $5 at Sally's Beauty Supply for a pack of 4. At the bottom I used regular rollers secured with a hair pin. The velcro rollers I'm sure are not healthy for your hair so I would not use them daily.
DAMAGE ALERT! I also flat ironed my hair prior to curling.
