So while at America's Beauty Show I kept hearing about products to air dry hair. My thought aren't all natural hair products to be used for air drying? I got the Pureology Hudrate Trio. I don't think it's technically for curly hair but I'm told it works:
But I tried it out! I washed my hair and conditioned it with the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo really lathered with just a little and the conditioner had a nice minty feel to it. (I love love love the mint in my conditioners)
The "hydrate" air dry crime felt very very light when I put it on, unlike many other wash and go products. So how did it work?
Its winter so I don't do the traditional wash n go, I wash, bun, sleep and go, meaning I put my hair in a top bun after I apply the product. No brushing no combing, just hands. This way it also stretches the bottom for better length retention. In the morning I take down the bun and hopefully my hair is still a little damp, add more product shake and go.
Once it dried, here's the final look:
My hair feels bouncy but and free but not as conditioned as I like. (I really like heavy products). I think this would be really good for type 3 curly hair but I don't hate it.
Survery says.... it's okay. Yes it's matte and yes it stays on pretty ok but I'm not in love with the color.
The lipstick goes on liquid and dries. It starts off the color I want, then turns pinky or purpley instead of the brown that I want. Makes me sad. I wanted to love it. But I don't.
I admit I struggle with nude colors (well lipstick in general honestly). It didn't smudge, it didn't get on my teeth but I still didn't love it.
UPDATE IT DOES WORK -- with time.
According to Vegalash: the "hypoallergenic formula gives you longer looking lashes but also provides greater density, creating a bold, voluminous look as fast as 15 days."
The left picture was 15 days ago. Do you see a difference? If you don't it's ok, I don't either. The website also says "This hormone-free, latex-free, hypoallergenic serum is comprised of a natural, vegan formula for safe and effective results and is gentle enough for sensitive eyes." But it irritates my eyes and I am going to send it back and get a refund. So I give this product two thumbs down... my eyes/eyelids are itchy and my lower eyelid looked very puffy yesterday. I don't know exactly what's in it but I'll stick with castor oil instead.
A two month supply of vegalash is $79 however they do run sales! If it works for you, let me know!
UPDATE as of May 8th
So I didn't send it back haha! Lazy! But eventually the irritation went away and I have noticed a difference! The pictures are one month apart naked lashes.
I started my day at a special media event at Sephora to learn the art of highlighting and taking my contour to the next level! Makeup professional Jeffery English spruced up my makeup look with this unicorn highlight!
So I will be turning the big 3-0 this year (don't quite know how I feel about it yet lol) I look really young and I want to keep it that way!! I still get carded for rated-R movies and curfew! I blame it on my skin (or maybe my height 🤷🏽♀️) Anywho...A few months ago while reading the labels of allllllll my face soaps I was so confused as to why i was putting that crap on my face...and paying $30 for crap, so I looked to google and my favorite bloggers and I found some great all natural products to keep me looking like a fine tenderoni lol!!! First things first, the secret ingredient in the fountain of youth is WATER!!!! Drink water for goodness sake! Sugary shit will just seep right out your poor pores, that Pepsi will turn into a pimple before you know it. Now I'm a simple person, with a full time job, two kids and 83 piles of laundry at all times so I don't have time for 30 minute daily facial cleansing routines. I wash my face with cold water and an all natural face cleanser by Acure (now sold at target-yippee), I dry my face with a clean towel, then I use witch hazel as my toner to keep this skin nice and tight (and shrink any pimples if I have any) then my grand finale is a little morraccan argan oil as my moisturizer (it's a very light oil, even if you have oily skin you should still be fine) and that's it! My face has been so clear! Hope this helps you guys reverse the hands of time or at least look like you did!!! Below are the products I use everyday and a horrible picture of my skin close up as I could possibly get lol
