I read about sealing wefts. The product I used for this was Dritz Fray Check. It was $4.99 at JoAnn Fabrics. The point is to keep the hair in the wefts in a more secure way kinda like glueing it down. I've heard some use super glue or another seam sealant but I like this one because it's clear.
Super glue also wouldn't be flexible like the fray check it would be stiff and probably make it hard to get a needle through. I've also heard that others use fabric glue for this. Not sure which works better but I can tell you what I'm using.

Make sure to cover the area you are working in with plastic. You don't want to get the glue everywhere.
You also won't eliminate shedding. There will still be shedding when you brush and because of breakage but you'll save yourself some extra strands and heartache.
